Project Description
Vertikal were engaged by DBI and Hutchinson Builders to install a 95sqm living green wall directly above the entrance to the first Dorsett Hotel in Australia at The Star Gold Coast.
Spanning a total of 17.5 linear metres and 5.4m high, the green wall sits over a 24 hour driveway, with an infinity pool directly above. As such the plants are maintained using Vertikal’s ropes access specialists, and a raptor rail system installed at the time of construction.
With over 15 different species inside the green wall, the plants have been specifically chosen to deal with the direct sun, sometimes high wind conditions and salt air associated with this prominent north facing oceanside location.
